Meet the Founder

Abdulkadir Lukman, MNIM

Founder / Executive Director

Abdulkadir Lukman is a community development practitioner and management professional whose work is rooted in one conviction: communities already hold the answers, they simply need a platform and the capacity to act on them. He founded Voices for Community Development Foundation to turn that conviction into structured, measurable community action across Abaji Area Council.

His leadership journey spans youth mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, programme design and partnership building with local government, traditional institutions, schools and development partners. Under his direction, the foundation has delivered leadership academies, digital skills training, back-to-school support, entrepreneurship grants and community dialogues that connect residents directly with decision makers.

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), he combines managerial discipline with a grassroots presence — spending as much time in ward meetings and school halls as in boardrooms. His vision is an Abaji where every young person can find a pathway to skills, enterprise and civic leadership without leaving home.

“When you give a young person a voice, you do not just change one life — you change the direction of a whole community.”
